The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. This effort is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.
On Thursday April 4, 2019 the Wisconsin Dells Police Department went to 322 Washington Avenue, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965 for a welfare check. The Police discovered the deceased body of Tetiana Hushva age 23. The Baraboo Newspaper reported a child was in the house.
The Wisconsin Dells Police arrested Fuad Pashayev age 31 and transported him to the Columbia County jail in Portage Wisconsin. The body of Tetiana Huzhva is scheduled for an autopsy. The State of Wisconsin crime lab came to process the scene.
Wisconsin Dells is a small rural community that depends upon summer tourism as their primary industry. The community has all involved in their thoughts and prayers. The community is grieving the loss of this woman's life as best can be expected. The community as a whole is considering the importance of mental and social health services.
The Wisconsin Dells community has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry. Along with the need for additional police presence , will be the need for more mental and social health services. Expect to hear Wisconsin Dells advocating for a culturally competent team of mental and social health staff to provide service for the area.
