Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II Lake Delton

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

Lake Delton is about 267 acres of fresh water in the heart of the Wisconsin Dells area.  Many of the area resorts have hotel rooms available for over night stays on the shoreline of Lake Delton.  Since the flood of 2008 Lake Delton has been a good study location for those in the aquatic engineering profession.

The 267 acres of fresh water on Lake Delton is heavily utilized by visitors from June thru August.  This can require additional staff with proper equipment to keep the visiting population safe.  The roadways that weave motorists along the lake are expected to support additional traffic with more people coming to attend an event in the Kalahari Resort Convention Center being constructed.

The Kalahari Resort Convention Center is expected to be operational in the 4th quarter of 2019.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
