The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. The Village of Lake Delton is giving financial incentives to franchise hotel operators who locate in the Wisconsin Dells area. The Village of Lake Delton is giving financial incentives to property owners who build housing for temporary work staff on their land. The Village of Lake Delton is clearing land on Alcan and Miller to place a law enforcement building which will be closer to the new convention center. This set of public resource investments to grow the local economy is being called - Stage II of the Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Industry.
Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB is an independent organization that contracts with Infoteyes Advertising Promotions to coordinate two tourism projects - which employ the copyright place making process connecting commercial clusters.
1. Invites Kalahari Resort Convention Center attendees to schedule a visit to historic down town Baraboo.
2. Invites Milwaukee residents who rent out their dwelling during the DNC Convention in 2020 to schedule a weekend stay over in Wisconsin Dells.
These are community building efforts that employ a promotional place making process. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
