Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Memorial Day Parade Tradition

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The staffing of these resort business modals requires more and more individuals who travel to come from outside of the Country to help.

The Wisconsin Dells area is now populated with thousands of work experience travelers who come from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program to support local tourism efforts.  Our daily interactions change the local culture and customs of the Wisconsin Dells area.

The Wisconsin Dells area has evolved in to a global community - this challenges media like the Wisconsin Dells Events Newspaper to publish stories that will appeal to a larger portion of the population.

The community is noticing stories like High Rock Celebrating 15 years of memories and Noah's Ark Celebrating 40 years of memories were printed - while the Memorial Day Parade was passed over by the Wisconsin Dells Events Newspaper.  This is a clear example of change to the traditional culture and customs of the Wisconsin Dells area.

The Newspaper stories on High Rock and Noah's Ark carry a stronger appeal to a higher percentage of the Wisconsin Dells population than the traditional Memorial Day Parade Stories.  The audience for these media products now includes a lot of people traveling from across the globe to come in to Wisconsin Dells to support local tourism efforts.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Local Performers Find Stage

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

Business modals  across the Wisconsin Dells area expecting denser visitation have begun to employ creative approaches to utilize available space.  Both indoor and outdoor space is being converted to seating with food and beverage services that includes live entertainment.  An example is Field's at the Wilderness Patio hosts live music every Thursday.

The business modals adding live entertainment across the Wisconsin Dells area means opportunity for local performers looking for a stage.  The addition of live music adds value to the visitors experience while strengthening the areas presentation as a tourist attraction.

The Kalahari Resort's New Huge Convention Center is expected to become operational in the 4th quarter of 2019.  Expect to see the addition of live music and entertainment to space occupied by food and beverage providers across the Wisconsin Dells area.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Over Supply Hotel Rooms

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center (212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  The community is hoping the new convention center can become operational within the 4th quarter of 2019.

To be prepared to better serve this huge new population that will attend conventions at the Kalahari Resort the Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for franchise hotel operators who locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.   The Village of Lake Delton has given the franchise hotel operator of the La Quinta Del Sol 1.8 million dollars - ground is being cleared on the Wisconsin Dells Parkway.

The Wisconsin Dells area now has an over supply of hotel rooms.  This signals a buyers market - meaning hotel room prices are falling because their is an over supply of hotel rooms in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The over supply of hotel rooms is expected to engage local hotel operators who will influence the Kalahari Resorts new 212 thousand square foot convention center to function at a higher occupancy level.

Engaging hotel operators means local influence will push the new convention center to serve groups with higher numbers to create a spill over.  Spill over is when the group attending the new convention center is so large the Kalahari must arrange for the rental of blocks of rooms from the surrounding hotel operations.

When the Kalahari Resorts new convention center becomes operational expect local hotel business modals to track the level of occupancy in the convention center.   This ongoing tracking will indicate the type of interventions that may be necessary to move the convention center toward renting space to groups with higher numbers. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Who Gets Next 10 Million Dollars

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is the investment of public resources for a private business modal that creates a physical location in the Wisconsin Dells area.

This has caused the Wisconsin Dells residents and business owners to question who will receive the next 10 million dollar gift through the Village of Lake Delton.  This is the community expecting the internal process of gifting publicly collected money to private business modals to become much more transparent.  Publishing the gifting process could reduce concern with unbalance and proper stewardship of publicly collected money.

The residents explain that they clearly understand the unbalance with these public services consistently conducting benefits throughout the community to raise money.  The community now understands that when the Village of Lake Delton gives a business operator 10 million publicly collected dollars - well that operator could donate 10 million dollars to the building of the new high school and still not have given a red cent of their own money.  Is this to divert funds that are collected under specific regulations only to have a family member later donate to a public service - getting around the policy.

The community is looking toward a published process that defines the qualifying characteristics required for a business operator to receive the next huge 10 million dollar gift of publicly collected money for creating a physical location in the Wisconsin Dells area. This is essential for the acting administration of the Village of Lake Delton to demonstrate evidence of performing the tasks that assure good stewardship of publicly collected money.

This will seem at first a bit uncomfortable for the older committee members who have become used to performing the distribution of publicly collected money in a less transparent manner.  Administrative committee members for the Village of Lake Delton must get beyond their discomfort and publish the process that will assure the gifting of public money to private business operators who create a physical location in the Wisconsin Dells area can continue.

This is about defining the gifting process so the distribution of 10 million dollar gifts can continue for private business operators who agree to create a physical location in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - High Lease Failure Rates

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The Wisconsin Dells area lacks the population to staff these large tourism business modals.  The Wisconsin Dells area at a high cost - must import their labor from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program.

The Wisconsin Dells area pays a higher than normal expense with importing staff from outside of the Country.  The individuals come in to the Wisconsin Dells area from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program.  This is work experience travel with a 90 day work VISA and 30 days for travel.

The Village of Lake Delton has distributed 1.5 million publicly collected dollars for the building of housing for this temporary work staff on Lake Avenue.  The high cost of importing needed labor from outside of the country contributes to the higher than normal lease failure rate in the Wisconsin Dells area.

The Wisconsin Dells area is completely dependent upon hosting adequate numbers of work experience travelers to economically function.  This adds to the unexpected expense of operating a business in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The high cost of importing needed labor from outside of the Country is a contributing reason the Wisconsin Dells area struggles with a higher than normal lease failure rate.

With a higher than normal lease failure rate- Wisconsin Dells travelers are discovering the business they have scheduled to visit is no longer operating.  The Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB is developing online sites that communicate this important information to the travelers-  this will allow time to re-schedule to visit a business modal that is operating.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Congestion On Lake Delton

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  Like most of the Resorts in the Wisconsin Dells area the Kalahari Resort has over night space available along the Lake Delton shoreline.

The Village of Lake Delton is employing several measures to help reduce congestion upon the surface of Lake Delton during the summer months.  The Village has frozen the number of boat rental permits that can be issued.  Lake Delton is host to a water ski show and military duck tours that add to the congestion.

Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB has contracted with Infoteyes Advertising Promotions who is utilizing the copyright Place Making Process - Connecting Commercial Clusters to invite Kalahari Resort Convention Center attendees to schedule a visit to Historic Down Town Baraboo.

When resort guests are visiting Historic Down Town Baraboo - this reduces the over population burden on Lake Delton.  This is mutually beneficial - with the visit to Historic Down Town Baraboo resort guests get the opportunity to see how residents live, work, play and operate profitable business modals in Sauk County.

This is Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB working to support travel, tourism, and the convention industry in the area.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Memorial Day Weekend

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The Convention Center is expected to become operational within the last quarter of 2019.

Insightful elements are the product of a process of predictive analysis conducted upon the collected Wisconsin Dells data.  This is a short list of some of those insightful elements.

- The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives to franchise hotel operators who locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.  This has created a buyers market - meaning hotel prices are falling because there is too much of a supply of hotel rooms in the Wisconsin Dells area.

-  The Wisconsin Dells area must import their labor from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program.  This high cost of labor contributes to the high lease failure rate across the Wisconsin Dells area.  The high lease failure rate means the advertised business you have scheduled to visit may no longer be operational

- The road construction in down town Wisconsin Dells means slow traffic and difficulty finding parking.  Walkers may be confronted with uneven surfaces, piles of earth, and large equipment in motion.

- The bulk of Wisconsin Dells business modals are staffed by a huge population of work experience travelers coming through the J1VISA Program.  This is a 90 day stay - meaning the individuals likely know very little about the Wisconsin Dells area. Consult an online information source.

- All the amusements at the Kalahari Resort are indoors - guests seeking fresh air travel to nearby historic down town Baraboo for a visit.

The staff of Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and fun Memorial Day Weekend.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Entertainment Trumble Lot

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The resort business modals are dependent upon the ability of the Wisconsin Dells area to attract the thousands of workers through the J1VISA Program.

Individuals who come from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program in to the Wisconsin Dells area can be seen as work experience travelers.  For Wisconsin Dells to continue to attract ever higher numbers of individuals from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program - we need to demonstrate the way value is being added to their stay.

Facilitating free, consistent, entertainment upon the Trumble Lot needs to be recognized as a benefit for the thousands of J1VISA Program staff who travel in to the Wisconsin Dells for a temporary work experience.  This adds value for the work experience traveler and communicates to the visiting population Wisconsin Dells understand why travel matters.

The Trumble  Lot could benefit from seating ( bleachers pictured)  that increases capacity while adding measures of comfort for the attending crowds.  This is an important piece of enhancing the J1VISA Program workers experience and improves the ability of the Wisconsin Dells area to be able to continue to attract the thousands of out of Country workers the area needs to economically function.

The Down Town Wisconsin Dells Business Improvement District Committee has an opportunity to present the scheduled entertainment on the Trumble Lot in a way that benefits the visiting J1VISA Program population - while unifying the efforts of the Village of Lake Delton and the City of Wisconsin Dells to attract higher numbers of individual workers through the J1VISA Program.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Down Town Road Construction

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

With Memorial Day Weekend approaching the visitors coming to Wisconsin Dells are reminded to allow extra time when traveling in the down town area due to all the road construction.  Please watch for heavy equipment, piles of loose earth, and all the places unfit for foot traffic.  The road construction is expected to continue throughout the summer months.

The down town road construction slows traffic and makes finding parking difficult.  The Wisconsin Dells community is dependent upon the summer tourist trade as the primary revenue producing industry across the area.  The City is trying to balance access to area businesses with safety of the tourist population walking among the construction zone.

The staff of Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Conventions Hosting Stage II - Event Traffic

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to bring a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

The gatherings that will be scheduled in the new convention center will bring more vehicle traffic throughout the Wisconsin Dells area.  This will present challenges to the military ducks, trolleys, taxis, and buses that shuttle people across the area.

As the measure of the success of an event increases the more people that are brought in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  This is a means to grow the local economy and it comes with much higher traffic volumes then ever before.

The Kalahari Resort Convention Center is expected to become operational in the last quarter of 2019.  Having the convention center host gatherings that increase the traffic volume across the Wisconsin Dells area will be the way the community receives a return on the hefty investment of public resources. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Establish Trust Sellers Permit

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This space will be rented by varied non-local convention organizers on behalf of a group who will hold their event.

Some groups renting the space may conduct a product show where vendors are selling directly to the public on the convention floor. It will be essential for the Village of Lake Delton to have a process in place that assures each vendor selling products to the public on the floor of the convention center has a local sellers permit and is capable of collecting the additional resort tax.  Products in the Wisconsin Dells area come with an added resort tax at each individual transaction.

This process should apply across the Wisconsin Dells area which would add a measure of trust for existing sellers that are required to charge the consumer the additional tax. The idea of the need for trust has become more prevalent with the published loss of over 350 thousand dollars.  The money is missing from the fund of the Lake Delton Fire Department and the fund of the Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton Emergency Medical Services.

A 350 thousand dollar loss by the local administration leaves the business community questioning why some of this money is being collected and where exactly is it going.  This goes directly to compliance - sellers will be less likely to comply if they do not trust the system.  This adds cost by requiring the administration to have follow up in place that assures all the sellers- that the permits are being purchased and the extra resort tax is being collected.

The Wisconsin Dells Community wants the new convention center to be able to rent space to groups that plan to sell products directly to the public- but they will need a local permit and demonstrate the ability to collect the additional resort tax at each individual transaction.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Retaining Law Enforcement

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars  to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shred customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  More people means need for more police officers.

The Wisconsin Dells area lacks the local population to staff the business modals that serve tourism.  The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for property owners who build housing for J1VISA Program staff on their land.  The community houses thousands of individuals who travel in to the Wisconsin Dells area from outside of the Country for a work experience.

Local law enforcement officers are responsible for serving rapid growing tourist populations as well as thousands of people on a temporary stay through the J1VISA Program.  With the varied culture, customs, and communication the J1VISA Program worker population adds a high measure of complexity to each individual law enforcement interaction.

Recall the recent murder of Tetiana Huzhva by Fuad Pashayev at 322 Washington Avenue, Wisconsin Dells WI 53965.  Fuad Pashayev stabbed Tetiana Huzhva to death and remained living in the dwelling with a 2 year old daughter for 5 days - until law enforcement on a welfare check discovered Tetiana Huzhva's deceased body.  Fuad Pashayev was arrested and placed in a Columbia County Jail where he is thought to have hanged himself to death.  The community has two deceased J1VISA Program workers bodies and a 2 year old child to return to anxious family who reside outside of the Country.

Being such a small rural community the employed police where expected to participate in tasks that fell far outside of an officers traditional role.  This expectation of having to work with larger populations and perform much more complex tasks will make it hard to retain police officers across the Wisconsin Dells community.

The Village of Lake Delton is clearing land on Alcan and Miller for a law enforcement building which will be closer to the new convention center.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

The typical stay for a person coming to work in the Wisconsin Dells through the J1VISA Program is about 90 days.  The individuals receive 90 days for work and 30 days for travel.  This simply means the average staff person working in a Wisconsin Dells business modal has been in the area 90 days or less.

This leaves the visiting tourist population looking for an accurate source of local travel information.  In the past the visitors would ask staff in local business modals questions about the area - but todays Wisconsin Dells staff do not have the time in the area to learn about the Wisconsin Dells.

With the bulk of Wisconsin Dells business modals being staffed by a huge population of work experience travelers coming through the J1VSA Program - online resources like The Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB are necessary to meet a real need.

The staff of Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB believe it is beneficial for the visiting population to understand how the increased dependence upon staffing through the J1VISA Program creates this need for the service being delivered by Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Need More Over Night Visitors

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The ability to populate the new convention center at the higher end of occupancy is important for the local economy.

Wisconsin Dells Conventions Hosting Stage II - Too Many Hotel Rooms

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The new convention center is expected to become operational in the last quarter of 2019.

The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for franchise hotel operators who locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.  An insightful element which is a product of the process of predictive analysis performed upon the collected Wisconsin Dells data - is a deal on over night lodging.

The current number of franchise hotel rooms available - easily outnumbers the visiting tourists in all but the peak of the summer season.  Simply the Wisconsin Dells area has more of a franchise hotel room supply then they do a demand from visitors wanting to rent space to stay overnight.  This high supply - low demand - acts to drive the price of hotel rooms down in the Wisconsin Dells area.

Visitors to the Wisconsin Dells area can expect - and negotiate for - lower than average prices on hotel rooms due to over supply.  This insightful element indicates excessive vacant hotel rooms across the Wisconsin Dells area means lower prices for consumers.  The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Reframe Community Narrative

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

Tourism is Wisconsin's third largest industry and Wisconsin Dells is rapidly building housing for work experience travelers through the J1VISA Program who come in numbers that double the local population.  To compete for their market share Wisconsin Dells welcomes J1VISA Program workers who staff the varied business modals that operate in the area.

This means Wisconsin Dells visiting families interact with individuals from across the globe who have gathered to support tourism.  The growth of the local economy requires the Wisconsin Dells area to heavily contribute to the political parties capable of influencing the continuation of J1VISA like programming that brings people in from outside of the United States.

The Village of Lake Delton has given the property owners of Noah's Ark 1.5 million dollars to construct 2 buildings and a convenience store along Lake Street.  This will provide a home for approximately 600 workers who come for a temporary stay in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The number of beds available across the Wisconsin Dells area for housing a temporary work staff is very near the numbers of local residents.

The majority of temporary work staff comes from outside of the United States through the Federal J1VISA Program.  Without the many J1VISA Program Workers the bulk of Wisconsin Dells area business operations would cease to function.  This means the Wisconsin Dells area is politically invested in the parties that will assure entry for significant numbers of individuals across the globe in to the United States through J1VISA like programming.

Embezzlement Lake Delton Internal System For Moving Money

A Village of Lake Delton clerical staff has been accused of embezzling money.  The difficulty the community will have is viewing this as a product of an internal - unrecorded system for moving money.  The security flaws embedded in the Village system facilitate the movement of money which has served in a capacity that is likely far greater than this individual act.

Collecting and distributing public money has to do with the system that internal staff adhere to in their every day work role.  This shifting and movement of funds is explained to staff as the process needed to keep the Village operational.

With an investigation from outside - the community is expecting a thorough review of the way money is being moved for the purpose of eliminating the security flaws across the internal system.  This will surely involve additional recording with an assurance of greater transparency.

With a proper investigation the community should expect to see change in the internal system - and an ongoing review of the entire system.  This will feel uncomfortable for some long time staff and administrative committee members who have been used to doing things a certain way.

The ethical - responsible activity will require the community to look beyond the charging of an individual employee with embezzlement and review the entire system that is being utilized to move money in the Village of Lake Delton.

The Wisconsin Dells community is struggling to understand how all this happened - for the purpose of preventing another occurrence.  Both Fuad Pashayev and Tetiana Huzhva were in Wisconsin Dells through the J1VISA Program.

On March 30, 2019 Fuad Pashayev stabbed Tetiana Huzhva to death at 322 Washington Avenue Wisconsin Dells.  Fuad Pashayev stayed in the house with the deceased body of Tetiana Huzhva until police discovered them on Thursday April 4, 2019.

Fuad Pashayev was transported to Columbia County Jail and was charged with first degree intentional homicide.  There is a 2 year old child involved and the Wisconsin Dells community is working to have the child and Tetiana Huzhva's body returned to anxious family in Ukraine.

With the death of Fuad Pashayev the Wisconsin Dells community has another deceased body to transport to family abroad.  The Wisconsin Dells community is advocating for a mental - social - health worker to be hired directly through the Wisconsin Dells and have an office in the police department .  There are just so many tasks related to this kind of a situation that fall completely outside of the police officers role.

The Wisconsin Dells community is praying sincerely for all involved with the hope of finding solutions that can prevent such a tragedy from happening in Wisconsin Dells again.  Individuals who travel in to Wisconsin Dells through the Federal J1VISA Program are considered members of a community who feel responsible for their health and welfare while they are here.

Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Business Lease Failure

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives to property owners who build housing for temporary work staff on their land.

The Wisconsin Dells area does not have the population to support these large resort style service modals.  The Wisconsin Dells area must import their labor from outside of the United States through the Federal J1VISA Program.  Commercial business modals in the Wisconsin Dells area pay a much higher amount for the labor needed to operate their business.

This high cost of labor in the Wisconsin Dells area contributes to the higher than normal commercial business lease failure rate across the area.  This is an insightful element- a product of a process of predictive analysis conducted upon collected Wisconsin Dells information.

What this means to the visiting convention attendees is that a business may not be operating in their advertised location.   Communicating the availability of area business modals is a benefit to the visiting population .  Knowing ahead of time can save the convention attendee time and the frustration of pulling on the handle of a closed shop.
