Wisconsin Opiate Epidemic MAT 2 Sustain Recovery

Home Care Path expects to see many opiate addiction community response training sessions springing up.  Creating a response to opiate addiction will include MAT.  MAT stands for Medication Assisted Treatment.

This is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapy for treating individuals using opiates.  Community partners rather quickly discover they need a medical doctor with prescriptive authority on board in this effort.

Many opiate addictions begin with an individual who has chronic pain.  Often the opiate addicted patient cannot adhere to their prescribing physicians  contracted instructions and will be floating across the community with no primary provider.  This is assessed evidence of an addiction when the patient cannot adhere to the terms of the medication contract.

Care Coordinators then become frustrated having a person with chronic unbearable pain and no doctor willing to see them with their history of non-compliance.  Prescribers are bound by insurance regulations that communicate the increased risk of death when prescribing to patients who are using additional drugs.

The Medical Doctor will employ a process of drug tapering which softens the ill effects experienced with completely stopping the unknown self dosing of street acquired opiates.  The goal of MAT - medication assisted treatment is shared by the entire team which is to sustain recovery.

Home Care Path invites readers to watch as the frequent numbers of network response to the opiate epidemic training sessions appear across Wisconsin.

Long Term Care Insurance Plans Want Regs 4 Yearly Premium Increase

The Long Term Care Insurance Industry is working to bring more sellers into the Long Term Care Insurance Industry market place.  Long Term Care Insurance plans have crafted a unified message for individual State Regulators and National Insurance Commissioner Organizations.

The Long Term Care Insurance Industry is pushing to implement an annual rate deficiency model.  This would facilitate annual rate hikes.  This is a major adjustment in the way Long Term Care Insurance premiums have been structured.

Insurance agents have incentivized policy sales by driving the idea that premium costs will never change.  The hoped for new regulations would mean premium amounts would go up yearly.  This is similar to auto insurance plans.

Researchers indicate premiums could be reduced in a year of fewer claims to pay, and a larger than expected return on invested funds the plan collected.   Under writers explain this is a compensatory strategy to effectively operate in an environment that regulates margins to an ever tightening capacity.

Insurance agents question the value in purchasing the Long Term Care policy early if the premium is adjusted annually.  Knowing the Federal Administration has plans to reduce the public funded medical care benefits - has given the privately purchased Long Term Care Insurance Industry a glimpse of a stronger opportunity.  The metrics of valuation will adjust as the regulations are imposed.

Home Care Path encourages readers to watch as the Long Term Care Insurance Industry works with Legislators to craft a new model of delivery.

Accidental Opioid Overdose New Caregiving Risk

The newest caregiving risk is accidental opioid over dose.  The risk of accidental exposure is respiratory deficit - leading to death.  The care giving population needs special training to be increasingly mindful of this new risk.

Care givers tend to go from home to home helping elderly and disabled individuals in the community.  Many Wisconsin house holds have multiple family members residing under the same roof.  With warmer weather the care giver like the rest of the Wisconsin population will have more skin exposed as a way to cool the body temperature.

The users of street acquired opioids are family members.  The illegal drugs can be accidentally absorbed through the skin or inhaled which influence the respiratory system - slowing and stopping breathing.  Potency indicates less and less substance causes adverse effects on the bodies respiratory system.

Recently during a routine traffic stop in Cincinnati a police officer was accidently exposed to opioids while searching a vehicle requiring hospitalization. In the home setting a care giver will carry the same risk as the other family members.

Trace opioid drugs resting upon tables, counters, furniture can contribute to accidental exposure.  Home Care Path explains the illegal opioid product is not clearly marked as a hazardous material.  Community partners, police, fire, emergency response, skilled and non-skilled medical home health, public health, and tribal health, have only fragmented pieces of the information tracking the opioid drug in the local geographical areas.

Users, sellers, and suppliers of this extremely potent opioid product place those closest to them at a higher risk for accidental exposure and death.  Todays user, seller, and supplier are typically not aware of the manufacturing ingredients - contributing to the catastrophes plaguing Wisconsin neighborhoods.

Managing this newly expanding risk is important to keeping Wisconsin a safe place to live and work.

Manditory Drug Testing Is A Testament To Relapse

With the Joint Finance Committees approval - Wisconsin is on course to be the first State to make drug testing mandatory for Medicaid recipients.  For State Law Makers to invest the time and money in this type of regulation there are 3 certain pieces of evidence compelling the activity.

1. Relapse is a huge part of todays drug use
2. Larger than adequate supplies of street drugs are available
3. Post testing medical treatment cost is high

The mandatory drug testing efforts are evidence for an expanding heroin epidemic across the State of Wisconsin.  Drug testing records will support incidence of relapse as a prevalent expectation of the disease process.

Repetitive exposure occurring in the work and public setting is evidence of a more than adequate supply of illegal drugs.  There is a larger than adequate supply of street drugs which deliver an easy ongoing access.

Post testing medical treatment cost is high.  With drawl involves advanced prescribing to compensate for the wash of illegal drugs.  Liver and kidney monitoring.  Intense nutritional therapy.

The State of Wisconsin's drug testing mandate will create a data base that will serve public health officials who can develop the programming to meet this expanding epidemic.

Home Care Path Response 2 Gun Violence Research Wisconsin

Wisconsin's Home Care Path is researching to develop a presentation designed to embed as a segment of a community response initiative to gun violence.  The incidence of gun violence has reached an intolerable level for Wisconsin citizenry.

Proactive Wisconsin County Planners will be forging rapid response initiatives to address gun violence.  Home Care Path is structuring an inclusive presentation to lend a supportive coaching approach to help decrease the risk for additional criminal behavior.

This is a unique - inclusive- delivery expected to engage individuals and family members connected to gun violence.  The presentation will involve utilization of an Ovilus device which is successfully employed by the Staff of Ghost Adventures to communicate with non-physical beings.

The focus is on transition related to Life, Death, and Afterlife. This specific form of support is not a stand alone response but rather a piece of the over all team helping the families recently exposed to gun violence.

As a community partner Home Care Path recognizes gun violence will be desperately in need of activities that are done with the intention of speaking so that another person can hear you. In this presentation we also learn how to listen and how to look.  This helps diminish the idea of separation especially within ongoing communication.

Please continue to follow initiatives designed to address gun violence in Wisconsin communities.

Wisconsin Ramps Up 2 Lead Driverless Car Industry

The State of Wisconsin is posturing to become the National leader in the driverless car industry. The UW Madison has been authorized by the United States Department of Transportation as one of the 10 established testing sites.

Governor Scott Walker signed an executive order on May 18, 2017 facilitating the creation of a steering committee to properly study how the public funded systems will need to work with private companies to safely get driverless cars on Wisconsin roads rapidly.

This is a progressive effort to bolster employment opportunities springing from automobile, technology, trucking,  insurance, and transportation industries.  Driverless cars are expected to be well accepted in Wisconsin being primarily rural with an aging population.
