Tom Price Nov 2016 to Sept 2017 All Done Secretary Health and Human Services

Tom Price has handed in his resignation.  Tom Price was chosen to be appointed to the position of Secretary of Health and Human Service on about November 28. 2016 .

On September 29. 2017 Tom Price is all done being the Secretary of Health and Human Services.  Tom Price being an orthopedic surgeon almost made it a full year in the position of Secretary of Health and Human Services.

It is advantageous to recognize that Tom Price had all the prerequisites and was chosen for this position yet was unable to function in the role for a complete year.   This demonstrates the volatility exists vertically from the top down .  Rapid vacancies lend variation to internal policy development process expanding unexpected outcomes.

Analysis now begins as to the length of the vacancy and the variables contributing to the development of regulations focused upon maintaining the integrity of the health insurance and medical delivery model.

Tom Price provides an example for all Americans who for what ever reason must leave their job- walk out and go find something else to do.

Medical Clinic Busy Post Opioid Epidemic Unexpected Death

An unexpected death in a community related to the opioid epidemic can contribute to increased medical clinic visits.  Those connected to the person who has passed on carry a risk of  fear and stress which manifests in the body as anxiety and pain.

This is much worse for an individual who has unresolved emotional and psychological trauma. A child effected by the death of a family member can carry this forward and when confronted with the need to cope with the unexpected death of a classmate it can become too much.

This internal thought, feeling, and physical body process can create anxiety and pain causing the individual to go to the medical clinic seeking a drug to help manage the symptoms.  Medical providers can uncover the connection between the 2 events with an interview.

Often the person is not aware of the connection between the 2 events that triggered the unresolved emotional and psychological trauma to heighten fear, anxiety, and pain.   The person may request a lot of diagnostic testing to assure there is no underlying physical process causing the symptoms.

This person would benefit from a Behavior Health Referral which would focus on interventions to help stop the cycle.   Knowing this ahead of time would help reduce the use of medical clinic time and equipment for unnecessary testing.

The staff of Home Care Path believe the opioid epidemic is too complex for one individual discipline or department to fix, we need the entire community involved.

Milwaukee's iCare 2 Serve Family Care Population in Sauk County 2019

Milwaukee's iCare located in Milwaukee Wisconsin 15555 N. River Center Dr  Suite 206 is contracted through the Department of Health Services to serve the Family Care population of Sauk County.  iCare is contracted as a Care Management Organization and will now need to build a network of contracted service providers to demonstrate their ability to perform the administrative duties outlined in the Family Care document.

Supporting iCare's efforts to serve the Sauk County Family Care Program is about giving Medicaid beneficiaries greater choice. By design the State of Wisconsin wants to expand access to the Family Care Program State wide while eliminating the legacy - older models of programming.

Typically service providers would contract with all the Care Management Organizations authorized to establish operation in the area.  At this point, the contracting and compliance investment is labor intensive.  Meaning each Care Management Organization has a separate lengthy set of paperwork and ongoing meeting requirement - the cost making it a poor business decision for some participating service providers.

Home Care Path has implemented a digital referral process that allows referral sources to assist the family with posting their need directly on the digital platform for care givers to pick up. This embeds a greater sense of autonomy in the daily activity of the staff who create their own schedule while performing their own intake.

Home Care Path staff check the web site daily for new listings
https://www.homecarepathdementiasupport.com/en/infos/about

in this manner we are communicating in real time.

The staff of Home Care Path would like to take this opportunity to wish iCare the best of luck in the future service of Sauk County Family Care Program beneficiaries.

Epic Waves Magic Wand 2 Use Technology 2 Improve Community Wellness

Epic's CEO Judy Faulkner in a red wizards gown and hat spoke to 11 thousand attendees at the Deep Space auditorium.  The presentation links technology to magic to instill a sense of wonder in those attending.

Judy Faulkner declared the time for including social and non-medical strategies to support wellness in the community is here.  This idea facilitates broader inclusion of electronic devices facilitating connections that demonstrate interoperability.

Interoperability speaks to connecting - this is leveraging the benefits of artificial intelligence to strengthen the ability of programs to support health and wellness in the local community.  The Epic CEO asks the attending group to consider how implementing technology to diminish the risk of the opioid epidemic and untimely death would look.

Wisconsin's Home Care Path is implementing a rapid response approach to the opioid epidemic and untimely deaths.  Wisconsin is largely a rural setting that can act to isolate families from needed resources during an unexpected event.

Home Care Path is implementing the Ovilus 5 which has been improved to expand connectivity.  The Ovilus 5 now has an internal rechargeable battery and WiFi facilitating connectivity to Apps, computers, and more.  This is instrumental trans-communication - used to contact a person who no longer has a physical body.

This equipment will be demonstrated as part of the community level intervention to help open the attending population to look, listen, and share as a part of the experience.  The intervention is designed to reinforce the way to use the varied resources available in the community to help prevent further undesired injury and death.

Home Care Path is employing the latest technology to broaden the view to create a climate of inclusion for the supportive organizations performing needed services in the community.  Rapid Response is a proven initiative being used throughout the United States as a supportive intervention with increased incidence of death related to the opioid epidemic.

The staff of Home Care Path reminds the readers of the words of Tom Farley the brother of Chris Farley at a recent talk in Baraboo Wisconsin - There is something really special about who we are and how we do things - it is going to be the biggest factor in your success.

Contact Dead With Electronic Equipment ITC Eliminates Human Judgements

More and more people have considered using a psychic to contact a loved one who has died as part of their grieving process.  Some find comfort in messages that can be attributed to a deceased loved one.

When our loved ones pass on family often recognize the change and refer to the loss of a physical body as:

- spirit
- field of energy
- orb
- pure thought
- ball of light
- non-physical being
- deceased loved one

ITC stands for Instrumental Trans - Communication - this is using electronic equipment for the purpose of making contact with a deceased loved one.   The deceased loved one employs their field of energy to send information through electronic equipment that receives and records the contact.

The electronic equipment receives and displays messages that have no human interference.  This removes the human capacity to judge and re-word the message.  Families are presented with the messages as received and encouraged to determine the value on their own terms.

Home Care Path will begin working with the Ovilus 5 - electronic equipment designed to facilitate communication with the deceased.  This is expected to be implemented in our contribution to support families who have lost a loved one to a drug over dose, suicide, or gun violence.  Death occurring secondary to drug over dose, suicide, or gun violence is often not a planned outcome and the deceased loved one may benefit from family communication.

Recall that the prevalence of memorials is a way of stating the individual has died- they are not gone.  Friends and family often communicate their love for a deceased family member through gathering, sharing thoughts, and using familiar objects to mark the site. The use of electronic equipment is another way to reach out and share your love for a deceased individual.

Wisconsin's Elder Care Worker Shortage Exposed 2 New Way

PHI a national research organization head quartered in New York with public health analytic efforts has issued published findings that indicate Wisconsin elder and disabled providers are desperately lacking staff.  This is further evidence following the comprehensive report published by the Wisconsin State Journal identifying the crisis related to a lack of workers.

The PHI data indicates the shortage of staff for serving the elderly at home is especially acute in rural settings.  The majority of Wisconsin is made up of rural communities.

Wisconsin's Home Care Path a senior living services organization has been aware of the staff shortage and is developing methods to better support the dwindling work force.  Home Care Path is viewed more like a community where you belong - than an employer.  At Home Care Path you are always welcome, and we value your inherent gifts.

Home Care Path provides the staff with 6 fundamental services designed to facilitate adequate opportunity to express your creative efforts.  Home Care Path has implemented a digital platform that allows staff and families to communicate in real time.  This is a more autonomous way to serve an elder communities growing needs.

Staff are trained to perform their own intake , can use the web platform to add staff in the household, and are encouraged to take a holistic approach to meeting the emerging needs.  The digital platform facilitates interactions in real time- so faster.  Staff function at a higher level which creates network efficiencies that improve the families experience.

This is a new model of delivery and the public funded programs are just beginning to understand the benefits. This Home Care Path model appears more attractive to the care coordinator who needs to involve several agencies in the management of an individual household.

The key to the success of Home Care Path is the focus on supporting the staffs efforts.   Home Care Path is most interested in having the staff develop a work experience that best meets their own needs.

How Death Changes Group Activity With Opioid Epidemic

Experiences of opioid use craft the relationships that build the group.  The undesired results are death due to the opioid epidemic, gun violence, and suicide.  Research indicates judgement is impaired, meaning activity that results in death is often more accidental than purposeful- but the undesired result is permanent loss of a physical body.

Opioid use creates friendships where a more intense sharing of feelings establishes relationships known as groups.  With a death - the way each individual in the group's physical body interprets the loss - will change the way the group interacts.

The relationship that establishes each individual as a member of the group exposes the person to the grief process with a death.  History has long agreed the grief process involves a persons feelings, thoughts and actions being effected by the 5 stages.  The five stages:

Denial- isolation supply chain fearful product less available

Anger- risk of violence goes up

Bargaining- opportunity for communication

Depression- risk of opioid use goes up

Acceptance- realizes the death experienced by the group member could be them

Individuals  do not glide through the five stages of grief in a chronological order - most slip in and out of the stages throughout time periods on each day.

Home Care Path believes families can benefit from information that facilitates a greater understanding of the way the opioid epidemic may show itself in the local community.

Trek Waterloo Wisconsin Hosts Bicycle Racing This Weekend

Trek a well known name for bicycles in Wisconsin is hosting an event this weekend titled - Union Cycliste International Cyclo-Cross World Cup.  This will be located at the Trek Bicycle Company 801 Madison Street, Waterloo Wisconsin.

The series of races take place across varied rural Wisconsin terrain which can be described as woods, fields, hills, and human created encounters.  There is no cost for attending the event.
