Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II Replace Alcan Drive

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This huge investment by such a small community demonstrates the level of commitment to the success of the Kalahari Resort Convention Center.  The new convention center is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

The size of the new population of visitors is expected to exceed the number of rooms available for over night stays in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The Village of Lake Delton has given 1.8 million dollars to a La Quinta Del Sol Hotel operator to locate along the Wisconsin Dells Parkway.  The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives to franchise hotel operators who locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.  Alcan Drive runs along the back side of the La Quinta Del Sol Hotel construction site.

With the growing population of visitors which will be accompanied by additional J1VISA Program staff coming for a temporary stay - the Village of Lake Delton is clearing land for a law enforcement building along Alcan Drive and Miller Drive.   Alcan Drive drive runs along the back side of the property being cleared for the law enforcement building.

With the new law enforcement building going up and the La Quinta Del Sol Hotel being constructed the Village of Lake Delton has approved funding (950K) to replace Alcan Drive.  The Replacement of Alcan Drive is scheduled for late April and will run in to early October.  The replacement of Alcan Drive will be a great benefit for the new law enforcement building which will be even closer to the Kalahari Resort Conventions Center.  The replacement of Alcan drive will be a great benefit for guests and staff who drive in and out of the new La Quinta Del Sol Hotel being constructed.

The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.  These are top down efforts to support the success of the new Kalahari Resort Convention Center being constructed.
