Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II Replacement Factor

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a large new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  An investment this large for such a small community indicates the commitment toward the success of the Kalahari Resort Convention Center.  This is a top down series of interventions aimed at growing the local economy.  Growth follows resources.

Resources are being provided through the Village of Lake Delton to replace traditional hotel modals with franchise hotel operations.  Resources are being provided through the Village of Lake Delton to replace traditional seasonal staff housing with newly constructed dorm room style housing.  Resources are being provided through the Village of Lake Delton to replace the police department location with a new law enforcement building.  Resources are being provided through the Village of Lake Delton to replace Alcan Drive along the rear of the La Quinta Del Sol Hotel project and the next law enforcement building location.

The investment of these resources can be viewed as additional support for the success of the Kalahari Resort Convention Center.  The Kalahari Resort Convention Center is the producer - expected to attract large populations like the Wisconsin Dells area used to experience annually with the World Wide Church of God Gatherings.

These changes are being called Stage II of the Convention Hosting Industry in the Wisconsin Dells Area.  This change is presently in the pre- buy in time period - meaning the local population has not yet agreed to the change and is not yet taking action to support the top down efforts.  Some may actually be denying it is taking place.

It will seem beneficial to allow the local population some extra room to voice their opinions and ideas without affecting the long standing relationship.  Everyone adapts to change in their own way and on their own schedule- and that should be ok.  Acknowledging these changes and talking about how the change is effecting individuals should not only be expected - but also seen as a normal part of adapting to the top down driven changes.

Wisconsin Dells Conventions Hosting Stage II is one of the digital assets being developed to support the success of the Kalahari Resort Convention Center.   The expectation is a stronger local economy through a diverse implementation of digital advertising promotions aimed at improving both the convention organizer's work and the individual attendee's scheduled stay in the Wisconsin Dells area.  This is at its roots place making activity - delivered through variations of devices utilized by the visiting population.  Community building across digital channels.
