Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II Over View

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for franchise hotel operators to locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for property owners who build housing for temporary work staff on their land.

This is a top down effort being called stage II of the convention hosting industry in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The hope is to attract a whole new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  The residents are expecting this to be like past annual visitations by the World Wide Church Of God members - only year round.

Parallel with an increase in the number of visitors will be an increase in the number of guest workers.  This will include an increase in the public services required to properly serve more people in one place.  Expect to see a stronger focus on public safety.

The Facebook page Wisconsin Dells Conventions HUB Stage II is a piece of the digital assets being developed to make the job of non-local convention organizers working on behalf of a group easier.  This is part of an application that performs digital advertising promotions.  This delivers a platform for place making activity designed to improve the return on the hefty investment being made by the Village of Lake Delton.
