Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Need More Over Night Visitors

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  The ability to populate the new convention center at the higher end of occupancy is important for the local economy.

The Village of Lake Delton is providing financial incentives for franchise hotel operations to locate in the Wisconsin Dells area.  This has created an over supply of hotel rooms across the Wisconsin Dells area.

This is a way for the municipal administration to force local hotel operators to get behind efforts to bring more over night visitors in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  The over supply of hotel rooms across Wisconsin Dells is forcing hotel operators to participate in local efforts designed to bring more over night visitors in to the area.

The spacious new Kalahari Resort Convention Center is the effort the municipal administration is heavily invested in - to bring more over night visitors in to the Wisconsin Dells area.  By driving an over supply of hotel rooms in the Wisconsin Dells area local hotel operators are being encouraged to contribute to the success of the new convention center.

With an over supply of hotel rooms across the Wisconsin Dells area - local hotel operators are first in line to benefit from a new huge convention center that functions at the higher end of occupancy.  Wisconsin Dells has entered  stage II of the convention hosting industry.
