Wisconsin Governor Walker 2 Washington 4 Health Care

Wisconsin's Governor Walker will be in Washington Thursday and Friday working with House Republicans and House and Senate Leaders on Health Care System changes.  This will be communicated across Wisconsin as the State Administrative Departments begin to implement in relation to the Budget.

Home Care Path staff will be monitoring presentation of information:

- The Wisconsin Budget process and timelines

- Over view of embedded changes in the Wisconsin Budget

- Changes with Family Care, IRIS, Special Education, Children's Long Term Supports, Transportation, Employment, Personal Care, and Care Management Organizations

- Specific information on Block Grants and Interface Concerns

- Coverage through the Affordable Care Acts

Home Care Path expects rapid and large changes which will effect delivery implemented through public funded programming.  Concerns with clarity will contribute to difficulties related to the contracting and reimbursement through 3rd party fiduciary processes.

The expected outcome will be the push of more long term care needs to the private side of delivery.
