Baraboo ADRC Sauk County Gets Funds 4 New Position

The Sauk County Baraboo Wisconsin (ADRC) Aging and Disability Resource Center has received approval from the Board for another full time position.  The fifty thousand dollars will be assigned to hiring an Aging Program Specialist.  This is a piece of Sauk County's ongoing effort to demonstrate compliance with the County Aging Plan.

     PINPOINT ONSET OF ALZHEIMER'S DEMENTIA

The research lab of Home Care Path recently revealed a non-invasive, innovative, family friendly approach to determining the onset of Alzheimer's Dementia.  Finally a down to earth strategy that really works.  This involves:

- The Track Memory 2 Zero demonstrating need for help with IADL's as early symptom

- House hold bill paying as a primary IADL (instrumental activities of daily living)

- Credit Bureau's recording late payment of house hold bills for reporting creditor's

-  The late payments are documented on the individual's credit report

- Credit Bureau's sell this data to credit report monitoring online platforms

-  The credit monitoring service provider gives the family access to information on the elder's credit report

- Family can access the senior's credit report and look back to locate clusters of documented late payments

- The key piece of this diagnostic process is the senior has adequate funds to make timely payments but multiple seemingly missed payments are recorded on the credit report

- Write down or print out the dates the late payment clusters began - to use as evidence of onset

The time of onset for Alzheimer's Dementia has applications when determining eligibility for help.  The "Track Memory 2 Zero" is a copyright of Home Care Path.  This is a 10 level progressive schedule used by care coordinators to understand increments of memory loss related to a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Dementia Disease.
