Wisconsin Long Term Care Budget 2015- 2017

The Wisconsin budget if approved will shift authority back from the DHS The Department of Human Services and over to the Office of Commissioner of Insurance.  The revised Family Care Program will be a consolidation that includes acute primary medical treatment and offers state wide access.  Implementation involves discontinuing some models of coordination moving these populations in to the revised Family Care Program.

The revised Family Care Program can expect insurance regulation which creates open enrollment periods to facilitate any consumers desiring a switch.  Consumers can experience a greater dependency upon private providers who must pick up some of the traditional ADRC -Aging and Disability Resource Center duties.

In a proactive innovative implementation Home Care Path is shifting to a multisided platform strengthening performance during this approaching change. Wisconsin families can maintain contact with the evolving senior living service network through their smart phone, ipad, or computer.
This is an autonomous web application rich with senior care content and access to needed support staff.
