VA's Fully Developed Claims (FDC) Program

Using the (VA) Veterans Administration's Fully Developed Claims Program participants can get a faster decision (about 120 days) on their submission.  A passed FDC incentive bill facilitates retroactive compensation up to one year from the filing date.  This helps insure no loss of benefits while collecting and organizing the required documents that certify the claim as fully developed.

There are 2 reasons for filing a Fully Developed Claim with the VA.

1. You have an injury, disability, or condition that occurred or was aggravated by Military Service.

2. You have a condition caused or aggravated by an existing Military Service related injury.

The way to file a Fully Developed Claim with the VA.

Connect with a Certified Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) to help you initiate the claim
(eBenefits.va.gov ), gather the required medical records and documentation and submit your claim.

As the program is utilized the focus is to have the veteran provide the Veterans Administration  everything needed to deliver a fast claim decision.  This new process is also expected to improve the Veterans ability to get the claim awarded.  The goal of the program is to get Veterans the benefits they are entitled to in the fastest possible time.
