The Village of Lake Delton has amended ordinance number 19-012 chapter 16 of the municipal code to create a high end attraction incentive program. The high end attraction incentive program is locally collected public money being diverted from residential needs to help get the struggling Wisconsin Dells area resorts back on a track of economic wellness.
The high end attraction incentive program provides free money for new high end attractions - amusements that are located and operated in the Wisconsin Dells area. This is public money being donated to the larger resort style service delivery modals to update their attractions for the purpose of increasing the number of visitors to the Wisconsin Dells area.
The Village of Lake Delton is developing the application process - which will require evidence to support an increase in the contribution of collected room tax. The hope is by using public money to pay for the improvement of amusements and attractions within the property of private business modals - more tourists will come stay in the Wisconsin Dells area.
