Wisconsin Nursing Profession NLC 2 eNLC Hearings

Wisconsin Nurses currently belong to NLC - the Nurse Licensure Compact since 2000.  This is a group of (24) States that a Nurse with a Wisconsin license can practice without having to get re-credentialed within the individual State.

There is a National movement called eNLC - Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact , scheduled to go in to effect on 12/31/18 if 26 States join.  Fifteen States have already signed on for the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.

This effort is designed to improve the ability of the medical model  of care delivery to be able to hire the adequate amount of nursing employees required to safely operate.  The Wisconsin Board of Nursing has scheduled an informational hearing for 6/18/17.

This is expected to clarify the process and benefits to migrating to the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact in Wisconsin.  Home Care Path encourages Wisconsin Nurses to follow this licensure change as it unfolds.
