The 2017 Wisconsin Governors Biz Plan Competition has begun.  We have submitted a unique digital platform that will help property owners with tree removal.  This is being proper stewards of our Wisconsin Natural Resources.

Source Wood is a digital market place that matches individuals with trees that need to be removed with loggers in the area who sell the wood to saw mills.  The individual property owner can offer the trees upon their property for removal and loggers can respond with an offer for removal.  The expert logger removes the trees from the property and the wood is sold to saw mills who create lumber for area users.  This is especially attractive for urban settings where property owners are often charged for tree removal. 

Property owners with just an individual lot could list their tree for removal as well as an owner with  100 acres of forested real estate.  Loggers can organize the removal of multiple trees from varied properties in the same area.  The trees are transported to the saw mill where they are lumbered and sold to area users.
