Operators of store fronts in down town Wisconsin Dells have began strategizing for ways to compensate for revenue loss with the summer of 2019 scheduled road construction. Nothing scares consumers from the door front like a torn up road with barricades. This is tough knowing that the City of Wisconsin Dells down town experiences such a short season when visitors are actually here.
Initial plan for 2019 down town Wisconsin Dells road construction:
- approximate time period from about April 8, 2019 to about June 7, 2019 expect Superior Street which runs from Broadway through Washington Avenue to be inaccessible
- approximate time period from about June 10, 2019 to about August 2, 2019 expect Washington Avenue running to Oak Street to be inaccessible
- approximate time period from about August 5, 2019 to about September 27, 2019 expect Municipal Building and Fischer's Parking lots to be inaccessible
This will prove tricky for the entire population as we acknowledge limited access to the Visitor and Conventions Bureau, the Municipal Hall, and the Grocery Store.
