House Checks Reminds Community Lake Delton Fire Dept Awarded 75K Grant

The Lake Delton Fire Department has been awarded a 75 thousand dollar grant through the United States Department of Homeland Security.  A requirement of the grant involves the hiring of a program coordinator ( Jed Seidl ) to link local community partners with State and Federal safety organizations.

This establishes in roads for large public services like the (FBI) Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FEMA) Federal Emergency Management Agency, and (WSIC) Wisconsin Statewide Information Center to name a few - when an emergency that rises to the Federal and State level has been identified.

The Village of Lake Delton and the City of Wisconsin Dells make up a small State of Wisconsin summer resort community that is dependent upon the safety and welfare of an ever growing population of J1Visa holders.   These are often younger international students participating in a limited time job experience.  The housing and care of J1Visa visitors is a large industry operating in the Lake Delton - Wisconsin Dells area and needed to keep the local economy intact.

This is coupled with the Kalahari Resort which was just awarded a 10 million dollar grant through the Village of Lake Delton to construct a convention center capable of serving the needs of ever larger State and National groups of visitors.

The health and safety of the over all community is dependent upon an organized approach to assure collaboration, cooperation, and communication when disaster strikes.  Implementation of the grant of 75 thousand dollars through the Lake Delton Fire Department begins with a training scheduled for January 29-30 from 8am to 3:30pm at the Wilderness Resort Glacier Convention Center.

Wisconsin House Checks is a service performed though Home Care Path an integrated senior living solutions organization established in 2010.  House Checks sends an individual staff person to walk your property checking doors, windows, and out buildings in the occupants absence.  Staff are looking for things out of place.  The visits are conducted during daytime hours.  The property owner is charged 22.00 dollars per visit.  This is a human intervention to compliment your technological security.

With the identification of harm - damage to the property the House Checks staff begin an investigation enabling support process.  This is recording and tracking the incident - packaging the data for distribution to the organizations connected to the house hold that are expected to participate in the remedy.  Simply call 608-432-4286 and request a House Checks visit and leave your call back number.  A senior resource manager will return your call and offer to make a visit to set up service.
