Wisconsin 2015 LTC Budget Look 4 End 2 End Process View of Change

Wisconsin Long Term Care is scheduled to change with the approaching implementation of the 2015 State Budget.   The transition will involve a State wide expansion of Family Care with a shift to insurance industry administration.  This effort streamlines service within the insurance plan which is hoped to improve over all outcomes.

The budget identifies funding for independent personal care assessments.  This assessment is then used by the insurance plan to authorize hours of personal care service for local contracted providers to staff.  Insurance plans will look for community providers able to conduct the independent personal care assessments using a consistent tool and applying mandates within the defined process.

Home Care Path https://homecarepath-public.sharepoint.com/about-us has 5 years of operating experience performing comprehensive assessments for authorizing plans.  Staff expect a large contractor will partner with the State of Wisconsin to conduct the independent personal care assessments.

Typically the contractor will release a request for proposals - inviting providers like Home Care Path to get a contract as a sub- contractor.  Once the end to end business process comes in to view, Home Care Path can implement collaborative efficiencies to improve quality with this approaching  State program change.

Home Care Path invites readers to watch this issue as it unfolds in your local community.
