Anticipation of Wisconsin Long Term Care Changes

Change has began in the Wisconsin Long Term Care System pre budget passage.  The proposed changes would define a time frame projecting the transition to a new Family Care model.  The State Budgetary process outlines a structure for time in which change is expected to occur.

Portions of time suggested in the Wisconsin budget do not allow for immediate Long Term Care Provider and Employee movement.  In anticipation of this change employees have already began moving toward stable work situations.  Wisconsin Long Term Care Providers are anxiously adapting service to alternative revenue streams.

Essentially - employees and providers will not all wait to experience the anticipated change flowing from the Wisconsin budget approval.   Many are moving now - leaving the system dependent upon human capital in an unsustainable mode of operation.

The search for new employment is occurring now.  Providers stopping intake to develop another model of service delivery is happening now.  The Wisconsin Long Term Care System is in disassemble mode now.   Employee and Provider movement is the wild card.
