The Village of Lake Delton has their Clerk, Attorney, and Engineer working to have additional nearby lots vacated to enable the combining of the geographical area in to one land parcel. Pictured is the property along Miller and Alcan that will be the location of the new Police Station building.
This places the Lake Delton Police Station closer to the new Kalahari Resort convention center and near the Village of Lake Delton Fire Department building. The new convention center at the Kalahari Resort is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.
More people means a greater need for public services like the Lake Delton Police Department. This includes the Areas need to attract more work experience travelers from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Programming to come live in Wisconsin Dells. The Wisconsin Dells area is home to more than 4500 work experience travelers who come from outside of the Country to help support local tourism efforts.
New law enforcement hires are often surprised to learn the published population of about 5500 residents can be more than doubled with the work experience travelers who come from outside of the Country to live in the Wisconsin Dells area. This makes it difficult for the Wisconsin Dells area to retain law enforcement officers.
The construction of a new law enforcement building and the plan to hire additional officers can be seen as a measure of economic growth. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
