Wisconsin Dells Convention Hosting Stage II - Parking Matters To Visitors

The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups.  This is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.

Tourism research in Wisconsin indicates visitors arrival takes place primarily through driving,  with more than 90 percent of tourists arriving by personal vehicle.   Some Wisconsin Dells area business modals are advertising free parking.  Tommy Bartletts Water Ski Show on Lake Delton displayed signage alerting motorists of free parking for both show times.  Restaurants and night clubs have posted signs stating parking for customers of their establishment.

In down town Wisconsin Dells parking meters charge visitors about one dollar per hour to park.  This involves tickets and a collection agency that will follow you home for non- payment.  Area water parks typically charge a fee for parking.

The investment of private business modals advertising free parking for their customers indicates this is a service the visiting populations value.  Families in a vehicle can be attracted to an establishment that provides free parking for their customers. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
