180 Day Waiting Period Credit Repair Nerds Wisconsin

New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman has forged an agreement with the Credit Bureaus (Experian, Trans Union, Equifax) to improve their collection, storage , and reporting of medical debt.  The Credit Bureaus were educated on their system as it relates to the health insurance industry.

Consumers today have 2 or more insurance plans participating in the payment of their medical invoices generated from health care visits.  Medicare, Medicaid, Private insurance, Gap health plans, Drug plans, Advantage plans, all posture to determine their share of the medical invoice and make the payment.  Posturing is an insurance industry description of the health plans determining the order in which the payers are to pay on the invoice.  Health plans can present to the consumer in disagreement of who the primary - first payer is.  The consumer's share is typically determined after the health plans submit payment.  Any appeal of the health insurance plans participation can make this process longer.

Credit Bureaus after reviewing the length of time insurance plans can take to pay on medical invoices, have agreed to form a new guideline standard.  The Credit Bureaus have agreed upon a 180 day waiting period before reporting medical debt.  This gives lenders an easier understanding of the actual credit report.  Prior to this lenders seeking an accurate picture were challenged to identify where in the claims process the medical debt was.
