Pir Zia Inayat Khan Celebrated Sufi Mystic Visits Madison Wisconsin

October 17, 2014 Pir Zia Inayat Khan is expected to provide a public lecture in Madison Wisconsin.  Pir Zia Inayat Khan is the grand son of Hazrat Inaya Khan and a spiritual leader of the Sufi order.

Sufi is an inner mystical approach to being.  Pir Zia Inayat Khan holds a doctorate of religion from the prestigious Duke University.  Sufi practitioners can experience mystical insights which have been described as a more direct encounter with ones inner existence. 

In  the Christian way Thomas Merton was considered a mystic capable of effectively communicating  his experiences in the written word.  Mystics seem to understand a similar spark of Divinity resides in all of us.  Madison Wisconsin expects a large amount of visitors to come to see Pir Zia Inayat Khan this weekend.
