Home Care Path Staff Train For Health Spot Primary Care Model

Health Spot is coming to a community pharmacy location near you.  Health Spot assembles virtual communication with technological diagnostic devices and access to urgent care medical staff.  Home Care Path is training to integrate senior living provision with telehealth and primary care.

Health Spot is located 545 Metro Place South, Dublin, OH 43017.  Health Spot contracts with local urgent care providers who can help community members with acute manifestations of respiratory symptoms, ear pain, and more.  This extends the reach of emergency room and urgent care services within the community.

The Health Spot station is set up in pharmacy locations.  Within the Health Spot location is diagnostic tools that can deliver biological values (body temperature, heart rate, etc) to the urgent care staff on duty.  A screen will facilitate a real time visit that allows the sender and receiver to see each other.  This camera will also record the visit.  The Health Spot contains state of the art UV light to reduce transmission of bacteria.

The contracts will involve the financial structure to accept health insurance and submit copays for medical visits.  This type of medical visit is reimbursed at a lower cost than a  face to face in the ER- urgent care.   So, your health insurance plan has a financial incentive to contract for this newly developed primary care service.

Home Care Path staff are getting ready to be able to help seniors participate in the newly developed model of care delivery.  Watch for Health Spot locations to appear in your community.

  1. My mother is getting older and her balance isn't what it used to be. She could use some help with certain tasks, so I'm looking into home care services. It seems like the best option for her.

  2. I can see why family members who live far away from senior members of their family would want to sign up for in home care services. I would be worried about my mother if she lived out of town. She's over eighty years old and has a bad hip. She needs me as a care taker to look after her. If I were ever unable to look after her, I would certainly ask for an in home care senior service to make sure that her needs are met.
