Purple Is The Color 4 Drug Over Dose Awareness Ovilus 5 Experience

Purple is considered the color for drug over dose awareness.  Part of the post death ritual is to have caps, shirts, or sweat shirts made with the deceased image or a phrase they would often speak.  This is used as part of the grieving of a loved one who died from an over dose.

Reported calculations indicate 91  Americans die every day from opioid over dose.  The United States is in an opioid epidemic.  Many individuals who become addicted will use drugs while alone.  The drugs have become so potent - accidental over dose is the declared cause of death.

Holidays can produce additional stress for an individual working through an addiction.  The frequency and quantity of street drug utilization can go up during the holidays as a means to cope with the additional stress.

The administration of Naloxone or Narcan are the field treatments used to revive an over dosed individual. Calling for help for another can save the persons life.  Many individuals using street drugs will benefit from a structured approach to health and wellness that begins with an inpatient stay to manage the undesired symptoms of withdrawl in the physical body.

Home Care Path has created an original model of non-medical support to serve an individual working through addiction in the community setting. This program of non-medical support is called the Ovilus 5 Experience and occurs one hour each week for 6 weeks in the persons living space.

The program includes ongoing tracking, and engages the individual in ancient rituals of self empowering acts. This is designed to shift the individuals being to an internal locus of control.  The rituals are thought to be beneficial with reducing the intensity of the anxiety and depression that accompanies addiction recovery. Part of the goal is creating a plan for re-entry to treatment with an unexpected relapse.

The family is charged 249.00 for the 6 weeks- one hour per week - of Ovilus 5 Experience.  Insurance will not reimburse for this service. Many people find this process interesting which helps improve over all engagement in the recovery efforts.
