DHS has published the Family Care IRIS 2.0 Concept Paper. Integrated Health Agencies will be expected to be licensed as a Wisconsin Insurance Company. Integrated Health Agencies will be funded using a prospective risk based capitation, with provider rates set annually based on past program costs.
Integrated Health Agencies will coordinate Long Term Care, Behavioral Health, and Primary Care. The Integrated Health Agencies will not be required to cover prescription drugs. Screened individuals deemed eligible can enroll with or switch Integrated Health Agencies at any time, year round.
DHS expects participating Integrated Health Agencies to expand delivery State wide, enhance the management across a broader variety of services, while slowing the growth of expenditures.
