The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. The hope is that this hefty investment will attract a large new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.
It has become common for College Foundations to fund raise by scheduling dinner speakers with convention facilities. The College Foundation employs a convention organizer who works on behalf of the group with the convention facility coordinator. The convention organizer arranges the menu with the convention facility coordinator. It is customary to offer a meatless dish option with fund raising dinner speaker events.
The convention organizer will then work with a printer who can produce the mailings that will be sent to potential attendees. Convention organizers track responses communicating often with the convention facility coordinator. The convention facility coordinator works with the restaurant staff to arrange the dinner details.
When fund raising is the underlying objective the focus is on inclusivity. This can mean choosing a new convention facility that is in a more central location to serve the target population. The Kalahari Resort convention center is expected to be operational within the last quarter of 2019. The hope is that this new space can meet the needs of large groups gathering for a fund raising event.
