The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. The hope is the convention center will attract a large new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area.
Lake Delton is about 267 acres of fresh water located in the heart of the Wisconsin Dells area. The shoreline was traditionally populated with residential dwellings. Many of the dwellings along the Lake Delton shoreline serve as a primary residence today. Commercial seasonal business modals have also located along the Lake Delton shoreline.
Resort Operators, Condominium Developers, Hotel Owners, and Vacation Rental Agencies all participate in the summer tourist season along the Lake Delton shoreline. A drive down the narrow roadways that circle the Lake show the viewer a diverse mix of residential and business property.
Events scheduled in the new Kalahari Resort Convention Center ( 212 thousand square feet) are expected to attract attendance that far exceeds the individual resorts over night room capacity. This means many of the convention attendees will book with the Resort Operators, Condominium Developers, Hotel Owners, and Vacation Rental Agencies doing business along the Lake Delton shoreline.
This is expected to increase motorist utilization for the roadways that circle Lake Delton. This higher number of motorists upon the road can be a change for the residents who live along the Lake Delton shoreline. This will mean a louder call for traffic enforcement with the focus on roadway safety along the Lake Delton shoreline. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
