Caring For Illness In The Home a 2015 Perspective

Caring for another in the home has not changed much since Florence Nightingale would make house calls.  Activity essentially supports the bodies ability to repair itself.

House is a comfortable temperature
Noise is reduced to a tolerable level
Food and fluid is provided and consumed
Light in the room is tolerable
Odor is eliminated- air is fresh
Bedding and clothing are cleaned and laundered
Person is bathed and kept clean
Thoughts and conversation value wellness
Observation with ability to contact more help outside the home
Presence of another to help person with concerns

Home Care Path is a group of community care givers who work together to care for the ill in their own home.  Staff provide a consistent approach to meet the persons needs.  2015 rates are 20.00 per hour.  A registered nurse produces a plan of care which helps inform the participants in the changing needs.  Home Care Path is a needs based practice so no scheduling minimum and flexible care plans have advanced the organizations sustainability.
