In January 2014 the Federal Affordable Care Act regulates the minimum Medicaid income eligibility level across all the United States. Any individual under the age of 65 with an income total below one hundred and thirty three percent of the Federal Poverty Level will be eligible for the Medicaid benefit.
This means an individual earning less than 15, 282.00 annual income will qualify for Medicaid without the need for a waiver. Implementing the new criteria under Federal law can take time and effort on the infrastructure within the individual States.
Will Wisconsin have the community processes in place to insure eligible individuals are receiving access to this Medicaid benefit. Shaping County services to afford Wisconsin an opportunity to comply with the Federal law is in practice.
Realizing how the Medicaid benefit is transitioned from the County office in to the Wisconsin Partnership Program, Family Care Program and IRIS Program for care management demonstrates the economic exchange. Medicaid dollars pay employees in the County and the Wisconsin health programs, who then spend the money in the community on their own family needs.
This bolsters the individual States economic activity. Understanding how the Medicaid process contributes to the communities economic activity can improve participation in ongoing planning. Home Care Path encourages readers to follow this health care issue as it continues to unfold.
