The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. The Wisconsin Dells area lacks the population to staff these tourism business modals. The community is hoping the new convention center will become operational in the 4th quarter of 2019.
Tourism is Wisconsin's third largest industry - and the completion of the Kalahari Resort convention center is expected to attract a huge new population of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area. The Wisconsin Dells area is completely dependent upon higher and higher numbers of work experience travelers coming in from outside of the Country to support the local tourism efforts.
The Wisconsin Dells area is busy building the bridge that connects the global community through the work experience travelers who come in through the J1VISA Program to support local tourism efforts. Traveling into Wisconsin Dells for a work experience opens the visitors up to new experiences. The Village of Lake Delton is investing millions of publicly collected dollars toward the building of new housing to help improve the work experience travelers stay in the Wisconsin Dells area.
