The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. This is a public - private partnership to create a physical location designed to attract a huge number of shared customers in to the Wisconsin Dells area. The convention center is expected to become operational in the 4th quarter of 2019.
The community of Wisconsin Dells is questioning if they will be able to hold the annual 4th of July fire works display in the down town area by the public pool. The area is part of the road construction taking place in down town Wisconsin Dells the summer of 2019. The area has uneven surfaces, piles of earth, and large equipment in motion.
The families coming to attend the annual 4th of July fire works display in down town Wisconsin Dells would be laying their blankets out across a construction zone. The City of Wisconsin Dells commercial district exists to serve the summer tourist population. The entire commercial district is dependent upon serving summer visitors as a primary source of annual business revenue. For this reason the community has been working to create a safe balance that involves visitors tracking in the construction zones to help with access to the operating business modals.
Community members remain uncertain if the annual 4th of July fire works display will occur in the usual spot in down town Wisconsin Dells this year with the road construction. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry,
