The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to build a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. The Wisconsin Dells area lacks the population to staff these resort style business modals.
The Wisconsin Dells community is dependent upon thousands of workers coming from outside of the Country through the J1VISA Program to staff their varied business modals. The Village of Lake Delton is giving millions of dollars to property owners who construct housing for temporary work staff on their land.
Noah's Ark has received 1.5 million dollars from the Village of Lake Delton to construct 2 buildings and a convenience store on Lake Avenue to house up to 600 temporary workers. This is Wisconsin Dells cultivating a diverse work force to take the local economy to the next level. This is the investment of public resources to private business modals to grow the Wisconsin Dells area economy.
The initiatives that bring thousands of J1VISA Program work experience travelers from outside of the Country is now showing the United States and the rest of the world that Wisconsin Dells is a place that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and young people. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
