The Village of Lake Delton has given the Kalahari Resort 10 million publicly collected dollars to construct a convention center ( 212 thousand square feet) capable of serving large regional - national groups. This top down effort described as stage II of the convention hosting industry in the Wisconsin Dells area includes the distribution of financial incentives to place operating hotel franchises in the area, and money for property owners to build temporary work force housing.
The Wisconsin Dells area will begin to see the development of a digital structure to support these ongoing efforts. Convention facilities work with convention organizers who represent non-local groups looking for a venue. Convention organizers need packaged data that can enhance their professional credibility when negotiating with a convention center to schedule an event for a big group.
Convention Organizers Need :
- access to an area specific convention industry online site
- access to a site that delivers non- enriched real time images of the geographical area
- finer granulated information describing business modals and assuring access in off season
Expect to begin to see information being packaged and published as a means to communicate with convention organizers who are always looking for a new and unique venue to deliver a memorable experience for their client base. The Wisconsin Dells area has entered stage II of the convention hosting industry.
