In Lake Delton Wisconsin an employee housing being built burned to the ground in January. This has been declared arson. Participating investigators in cooperation with the Wilderness Resort have increased the reward to 20 thousand dollars hoping to involve more of the community.
House Checks staff have noted the height of the concrete walls that form the base of the building would of required a long reach to burnable material if this was ignited from the bottom and burned upward. A bottom up fire ignited from the interior would of required access through a basement opening. House Checks staff is talking with families who have fireplaces in their dwelling only to hear how difficult it can be to get dry wood to sustain a burning state even with lighter fluid and log lighters.
House Checks sends an individual staff person to check your doors, windows, and outbuildings looking for things out of place- in the occupants absence. The property owner is charged 20 dollars per visit which are performed during daylight hours. Staff look inside from the exterior whenever reasonably possible. This is a human intervention to compliment your technological security. Simply call 608-432-4286 and request a House Checks Service to get started.
