Interstate Medical Doctor Licensure Compact Wisconsin Credit Repair Nerds

On December 14, 2015 Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker signed the interstate medical doctor licensure compact legislation in to law.  Wisconsin is the 12th State to enact the interstate medical licensure compact.

The purpose is to increase access to health care for individuals residing in under served or rural areas.  This is a means to rapidly license medical doctors to practice medicine in multiple States.

The traditional time consuming State by State license process was identified as a barrier to medical care delivery.  The Affordable Care Act has increased the number of patients with a valid pay source resulting in areas scarce in medical doctor care.

This legislation is a huge piece of facilitating patient consultations with medical specialty care doctors using telemedicine technologies.   With telemedicine technology medical doctors in a remote location far away from a patient could still provide an expert visit.  Real time video communication to improve the health of a community.

This is law which forges policy catching up to technology that has advanced medical delivery designed to improve access to desperately needed health care.
