Wisconsin DHS Awards 1.8 Million Dollars

University of Hospitals and Clinics and Mayo Clinic Health System has been awarded 1.8 million dollars.  The (DHS) Department of Health Services has distributed the monetary award to connect programs of graduate medical education with rural and under served geographical areas.

The Wisconsin Legislature Section 13.106 (4) through ACT 20 of the 2014- 2015 biennial budget establishes a funding mechanism for rural or underserved urban medical programs.  This is public money distributed to bolster the health delivery infrastructure across the rural Wisconsin landscape.
