What current City activity needs to be reversed to prevent legal problems?

Next mayor will need to eliminate the appointed position that delivers financial penalties to City of Wisconsin Dells residents for property deterioration. In the State of Wisconsin this activity is regulated by the Real Estate Industry - if the inspector has not attended classes- taken an exam- and listed upon the registry with an assigned number - the delivery is infringing upon the rights of private property owners

Why and how would you change the way the City handles business development?

The City of Wisconsin Dells contributes a large portion of the money collected by individual business operators for the resort tax to the Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Convention Bureau to bring tourists to the area.  To receive a return on this investment the City desperately needs more operating businesses.  Current Municipal policy is unclear - financial penalties deliver unplanned for cost - and creditors encourage new businesses to apply for CDA funds to improve their ability to secure financing through a traditional lender.  The next mayor will need to package business start up Municipal policies in an easy to understand - pro- business style - that retains more operators.
