On December 16, 2019 the City of Wisconsin Dells council adopted resolution no. 5112 Statute 5.15 (5) (b) to facilitate the combining of wards for reporting purposes. This is implemented for efficiency with the one individual polling location that serves a population of less than 3 thousand residents.
The City of Wisconsin Dells plans to provide one reporting unit for Columbia County wards 1,2.3, and 6. This enables small municipalities to better manage the work required to conduct a proper election process.
The value of individual ward calculations is diminished for less densely populated communities. The combining of wards for reporting purposes is expected to simplify the City of Wisconsin Dells election process in 2020.
