October 2012 Accuray's New TomoTherapy H Series of radiation oncology devices is set for distribution. The H series is an evolved system that improves an oncology providers control with an ongoing regiman of treatment. The H series helps connect aspects of treatment to allow providers to alter delivery in real time.
TomoEDGE controls radiation delivery by defining the edge between the undesired tumor and the healthy tissue. More of the radiation is efficiently delivered to the undesired tissue, better preserving the healthy surrounding cells.
